I joined Mortgage Link Manawatu in 1996 after working in the banking sector for 10 years. In 2000 I became a co-owner and Director of Mortgage Link Manawatu.
Being a Mortgage Adviser has allowed me to offer my clients advice on a large range of mortgage lenders and products. It’s very satisfying being able to correctly match the loan type and lender to the client's circumstance and requirements.
I have completed the National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice Level 5) Residential Property Lending Advice qualification.
In 2010, 2011 & 2012 I received the ‘Highest Individual Producer’ award for the Mortgage Link New Zealand group and in 2010 I was awarded the ‘Individual of the Year’ award.
I am a member of the Professional Advisers Association (PAA) formerly the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association (NZMBA) and I have served three years on the Executive Committee. In the years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 (runner-up), 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 I was the Central North Island regional winner for the NZMBA ‘Mortgage Broker of the Year’ award. In those years I was a finalist in the NZMBA overall ‘Mortgage Broker of the Year’ award and in 2008 achieved the First Runner-up award.
While I provide clients advice on all types of mortgage finance it’s always satisfying to help first home buyers. First home buyers require more advice and guidance to ensure they get the best result. I enjoy stepping first home buyers through the process of buying a home and how best to position themselves to obtain the finance they require.
Another area I am experienced in and have a personal interest in is residential rental investment. I have built up an excellent level of knowledge in this field and am able to advise clients on complicated issues regarding loan structuring and ownership entities.
I thoroughly enjoy helping clients and seeing their financial situation grow over time. It’s a real thrill to see a client achieve their goals.
In my spare time I enjoy tramping, mountain biking and keeping fit.
